I’m a little skeptical of any best song list that includes J.Lo’s egregious “I Luh Ya Papi,” but I still plan to check out some of the music on Said the Gramophone’s list of 100 Best Songs of 2014.

Some brilliant advice from Pernille Ripp: ask your students what you should do differently next semester, AND THEN DO IT.

Looking for some new movies to watch? Buzzfeed has a list of 24 you probably missed but should see.

I’m becoming mildly obsessed with an art blog called The Jealous Curator.

How I love end-of-the-year best books lists! Two I’ve really enjoyed this week are Vogue’s Top Ten list and Brainpickings’s Top 14.

Every teacher needs to read The Literary Omnivore’s review of Animal Farm.

Jackie Gerstein has a helpful list of universal skills every learner should know.

I second Michele’s celebration of books, authors, and friends.
