Links I Loved Last Week: A Round-up of Online Reading 7/5/15

Sunday Salon

I didn’t post a #MustReadin2015 check-in update with the rest of the group because, well, I haven’t read any more titles from my list since the last check-in. I was feeling a bit down about not reaching my goals until I read Michele’s thoughtful words about setting, reaching, and sometimes failing to reach our reading goals.

I am most definitely a Romance Newbie myself, so I appreciated this list of 10 Essential Reads for Romance Newbies from Book Riot that I can share with my students who want to explore this genre.

Faige Meller reflects on What Intrinsic Motivation Looks Like in Kindergarten.

A Virtual Book Club on Cynthia Lord’s new novel, A Handful of Stars, next July 6. There’s still time to read and join.

Kelsey Empfield writes about the interview she nailed to land her new teaching job. If you’re wondering how to handle a teaching demonstration, Kelsey shares her thinking process and the cool lesson plan she designed.

All the cute you need for the next seven days is right here in these photos of a baby owl snuggling with a kitten.
