How I love all the annual “best of” book lists! A few favorites from this week:

School Library Journal’s page collects their many wonderful “best of” lists in one place.

Barnes & Noble has a good Best Young Adult Books of the Year list.

Slate compiled a list of Underrated Books of 2015.

Wendy Falconer Gassaway shares Ten Realizations she’s had while reading aloud to her middle-schoolers.

Rohan Maitzen reflects on scale and significance in her reading life.

Three Teachers Talk has an excellent post about assessing writer’s notebooks.

Elizabeth Dunn is absolutely right: even “easy” cooking isn’t easy.
