Links I Loved Last Week: A Round-Up of Online Reading 1/10/16

Sunday Salon

This Lifehacker post shares the Top 10 Ways to Brainstorm New Ideas.

I really need to listen to these 7 Meditation Talks to Inspire.

Panels’ 7 Ways You Can Make Comics More Diverse and Inclusive contains good advice related to all reading.

Katie Workman’s post on what it’s like to be a Boy Mom had me laughing out loud. I love that AXE gets its own category.

Carrie Gelson’s elementary students have some very fine taste in picture books. I won’t be at all surprised if tomorrow’s VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS (TOMORROW!) result in some shiny stickers on these very books.

I love the Youth Media Award’s pajama party plan for tomorrow’s VERY EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS. I will not be tweeting photos of myself in my bathrobe, but I most certainly WILL be sitting in front of my computer in my bathrobe (most likely with a cat) watching the live webcast.

One of my reading resolutions is to read more books that my students recommend to me. Shawn Coppola’s delightful Nerdy Book Club on Ten Texts I Never Would Have Read Had It Not Been for a Recommendation increases my resolve.

Baby narwhals might be my new obsession.

Thanks for the brainstorming and meditation posts! I’m definitely going to pin those and refer to them often!
