Bison Haiku: Haiku-A-Day Challenge #27

I’m joining Trina Haase at Trinarrative in a daily haiku challenge this month.

When we were hiking in Wind Cave a few days ago, we spotted something I’ve never seen in the park before: a dead bison. Not, perhaps, the most festive topic for a haiku, but I can’t stop thinking about it.

coyotes picked bones clean
