Just as I was beginning to despair that I’ve already tried (more than once!) all the fun slicing formats, I found a new one. Thanks, Angela Faulhaber, for sharing Hello March, Let’s Check In!
The highlight last month was a road trip to visit two of my closest friends. Traveling alone means as many local coffee shops, art museums, and bookstores as I can stand! I haven’t invested much time in friendships over the past ten years or so, but the hours of good conversation I shared with my friends showed me it’s time to make a change.
This month, I want to feel calm and composed. I have more on my plate than ever this March, and I hope to manage my schedule and to-do lists without feeling rushed or frantic. (Or having an anxiety attack.)
I’ll be over the moon by April if my house is clean and some lingering house projects have been completed.
One thing I’ll regret not doing in March is writing and practicing yoga daily. I have two 31-day challenges going, and each requires at least 30 minutes a day to complete. To be honest, it’s pretty rare that I can write a slice in 30 minutes. It often takes 30 minutes just to find a topic! As long as I wake up early enough, though, I feel confident that I can complete both challenges and suffer no regrets.
I want to give myself more permission to get outside and enjoy nature. I used to hike in Wind Cave National Park a few times a month, but I haven’t been since August. I’d like to prioritize more outdoor time, because I know what a difference it makes for my well-being.
If I get stuck, I’ll remember that a little bit each day eventually accomplishes the goal.
