Haiku 5/30 #npm23

Today, I decided to play along with Amy Ludwig VanDerwater’s National Poetry Month Project. She’s writing her daily poems about 24 hours in the life of an old barn. For my poem, I chose one hour from the perspective of my coffee mug.

Coffee Mug, 4 A.M.

morning already?

This flexible calendar of ideas shared by Margaret and Molly is my guide for writing poetry this month.

I’m here with you. It seems I don’t hear any birds until I’m walking and the sun is slowly rising and then it’s an opera!

What a fun calendar, and I feel the feeling that your mug feels at 4:00 AM. (Though now the peepers are peeping all the time!) Thank you for playing along for the day, and happy happy rest of the month to you! xo, a.

Just today, I noticed the morning light. There seems to always be one day when I just notice it. I wrote a haiku today as well…it was a crazy stormy day!
